Yankee Hill, NE

Yankee Hill is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Lancaster County, Nebraska, just southwest of Lincoln. The 2020 census counted 286 residents. The place's name reaches into the surrounding prairie's older record: Yankee Hill Cemetery sits near the old trail from Nebraska City to Fort Kearny where the route crossed Salt Creek. Burials there go back to the late 1840s, and the cemetery was first known as Pleasant Hill before its association formally adopted the Yankee Hill name in 1926.

The CDP is served by Lincoln Public Schools, which gives a rural-looking place a direct tie to the area's urban school system.
