Yoder, WY

Yoder traces its beginnings back to the 1920s, when founder Jesse Yoder helped establish the town along the Union Pacific railroad line. It quickly grew into a lively trading hub for Goshen County ranchers and farmers, complete with general stores, a bakery, a creamery, and its own local newspaper. Although that early railroad boom eventually leveled off, the community held onto its deep agricultural roots.

Today, Yoder is a quiet, close-knit town located just off U.S. Highway 85, roughly twenty minutes south of Torrington. Life moves at an easy pace among wide-open plains and family-owned farms. Residents appreciate the local school and friendly neighbors, while autumn regularly draws outdoor enthusiasts looking for great pheasant hunting. It offers peaceful small-town living with straightforward access to larger nearby hubs for shopping, dining, and healthcare.
