About Yorktown

Yorktown is a town in Mount Pleasant Township, Delaware County, Indiana, situated at the confluence of the White River and Buck Creek. Part of the Muncie metropolitan area, the community of approximately 11,699 was historically associated with a Miami Indian legend stating the river junction protected the area from tornadoes. Public education is served by the Yorktown Community Schools district.
