Yukon, OK

Yukon is an Oklahoma City-area city founded in 1891 and named for the Yukon River far to the northwest. Its local identity is strongly tied to Czech heritage, preserved at Czech Hall, a national and state historic site devoted to Czech customs and culture. Yukon also sits along the old Chisholm Trail corridor and is served by Yukon Public Schools. The city feels like a western Oklahoma suburb with its own traditions, school pride, and historic main-street roots.
