About Yulee

Yulee is a growing Nassau County community just inland from Amelia Island and the Georgia line. It is named for David Levy Yulee, the U.S. senator remembered for building the Florida Railroad, and the local post office has been operating since the 1890s. Today Yulee mixes older North Florida roots with fast suburban growth along the Jacksonville edge. Florida State College has a presence nearby, and local events such as the annual Holiday Festival help give the community its own rhythm.
