Perched on a scenic mesa overlooking the Jemez River in Sandoval County, Zia Pueblo is a historic Native community with roots stretching back more than seven hundred years. You might already recognize the iconic Zia sun symbol from the New Mexico state flag, which originated right here. Today, the village offers sweeping red-rock views and a quiet rural pace, where residents remain dedicated to farming along the river, crafting renowned pottery, and preserving their traditional Keres heritage.
