Score
Target Elevation
Places closest to your preferred elevation score highest.
Higher values rank better for this score.
How It's Calculated
Locations closest to 3,000 feet score highest, with scores halving every 2,500 feet away from the target.
How the ranking is built
Target Elevation rewards places whose estimated elevation is closest to the selected target elevation.
- 1
Each place is scored from its absolute elevation difference from the target.
- 2
The score is 100 * exp(-ln(2) * difference feet / 2,500).
- 3
That means the score halves every half-life feet away from the target elevation.
Technical details
