Acme, WA

Acme is an unincorporated census-designated place in Whatcom County, Washington, with 229 residents in the 2020 census. It lies in the South Fork Valley between the northern Cascades and Lake Whatcom, where Valley Highway and mountain roads follow the river country. The community’s name has two local explanations; one links it to a hymnal held by Samuel Parks around 1887. Farms, forest, and foothill roads give Acme its daily scale.

Mount Baker School District serves the valley, with an elementary school in Acme and junior and senior high schools in Deming.
