Set right where Highway 64 meets Highway 22 in West Tennessee, Adamsville offers a quiet, friendly base just a short drive from the Tennessee River. It started out as a 19th-century stagecoach stop, and you still get that convenient crossroads feel today. Most people know Adamsville as the home of legendary sheriff Buford Pusser, whose life inspired the classic movie Walking Tall. His preserved home now serves as a local museum, and the town comes together each spring for a festival featuring live music, crafts, and sports at Buford Pusser Memorial Park. Between the active community ballfields, shaded walking paths, and easy access to boating and fishing on the river, it is an easy place to settle into if you appreciate a close-knit Southern town.
