Ahoskie, NC

Ahoskie is a quiet, close-knit town of around 4,800 people in northeastern North Carolina's Inner Banks. Often called the only town in the world with its name, it grew from a late-19th-century timber stop into a central gathering spot for the surrounding rural counties. Today, downtown Ahoskie still has plenty of small-town character, with brick storefronts, historic homes, and local businesses along Main Street giving the area a relaxed, grounded feel.
