Alderpoint, CA

Alderpoint is a census-designated place in Humboldt County, California, situated at an elevation of 472 feet approximately eleven miles east-northeast of Garberville. Named for the abundance of alder trees in the valley, the community originated in 1910 as a construction center for the Northwestern Pacific Railroad, with its first post office opening in 1911.
