About Alpine

Alpine is a census-designated place in Apache County, Arizona, situated in Bush Valley at an elevation of 8,050 feet. Surrounded by the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in the eastern White Mountains, this scenic community was settled in 1876 by Anderson Bush. The area lies along the Coronado Trail near Escudilla Mountain, Luna Lake, and the headwaters of the San Francisco River. Alpine has about one hundred and forty residents and is served by the Alpine Elementary School District.
