About Show Low

Show Low is a Navajo County city on Arizona's Mogollon Rim, sitting at about 6,345 feet in the White Mountains region. That elevation gives it colder winters and a pine-country feel very different from low-desert Arizona. The city was established in 1870, incorporated in 1953, and is home to a regional campus of Northland Pioneer College. Its unusual name comes from a card-game story, which fits a place with a bit of frontier oddness still attached.
