About Ammon

Ammon is an Idaho Falls-area city in eastern Idaho, founded by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1888. It grew from a small settlement with general stores into one of the main residential communities east of Idaho Falls. Ammon is served by Bonneville Joint School District 93 and functions as part of the larger Idaho Falls metro area. Its modern identity is suburban and family-oriented, but its origins are tied to Mormon settlement, irrigation-era farming, and eastern Idaho's high-desert valley landscape.
