About Annetta North

Annetta North is a small Parker County town on FM 5, one of three Annetta communities incorporated on August 11, 1979. The split came from a practical boundary question: residents wanted a town of their own before Fort Worth’s extraterritorial jurisdiction could surround the area. The town’s early election drew just 36 voters, with Phyllis M. Studer becoming the first mayor. Clear Fork and South Fork of the Trinity River pass through the town, so the local map is a mix of newer municipal lines, river country, and the road toward Aledo and Weatherford. Annetta North is small, but its origin story is unusually clear.
