Anniston, MO

Anniston is a city in Mississippi County, Missouri, United States. The 2020 census counted 180 residents. Anniston was originally called "Hainley's Switch", after Jacob Hainley, the proprietor of a local mill. A post office called Hainley's Switch was established in 1890, and the name was changed to Anniston in 1894. There was previously an Anniston High School, with an addition planned around 1957.
