Anoka, MN

Anoka is the county seat of Anoka County, northwest of Minneapolis, and one of Minnesota's older river towns. Pine logs were once floated down the Rum River to sawmills here, and early observers described it as a large, handsome village. That river-and-lumber history still shows through beneath its modern Twin Cities suburban role. Anoka also leans into community tradition, with historic buildings such as Colonial Hall and a local reputation for Halloween celebrations.
