About Aragon

Aragon is a tiny, quiet community tucked along the Tularosa River in western New Mexico's Catron County. Surrounded by the rugged expanse of the Gila National Forest, it offers peaceful, off-the-beaten-path living with deep frontier roots. The area was originally settled near historic Fort Tularosa, where Buffalo Soldier Sergeant George Jordan famously led a small detachment in 1880 to defend the valley's early homesteaders.
