Arbutus is a Baltimore County community southwest of Baltimore, close to Catonsville, Halethorpe, and the UMBC area. Its location gives it a practical commuter-suburb feel, with quick access to the city, I-95, and the older railroad communities around Relay. The nearby Patapsco River and Patapsco Valley State Park add a greener edge than many close-in suburbs can offer.
