Arcola is a census-designated place in Loudoun County, Virginia, situated less than three miles west of the southwest runway of Washington Dulles International Airport. Originally established during the colonial era as Gum Springs around a spring feeding the Broad Run, the community of approximately 3,509 lies fourteen miles south of the county seat of Leesburg. Public education is administered by Loudoun County Public Schools.
