About Ardmore

Ardmore is a Main Line community west of Philadelphia, split between Montgomery and Delaware counties. It has a busy downtown around Lancaster Avenue and the regional rail station, plus older neighborhoods, shops, restaurants, and recreation areas such as Linwood Park. The Autocar Company moved to Ardmore in 1899, adding an industrial chapter to a place now better known for compact and transit access. Ardmore feels like one of the Main Line's more practical centers: polished in parts, but also active and lived-in.
