Arkansaw, WI

Arkansaw is a quiet community nestled along Arkansaw Creek in western Wisconsin, about eight miles west of Durand. The area grew around a sawmill in the 1850s, using the creek to power multiple mills, and it even served as the Pepin County seat for a few years in the 1880s. Today, life here is much slower, with the winding creek cutting through a backdrop of peaceful countryside.

U.S. Route 10 runs straight through town, giving residents a quick drive into Durand for groceries, schools, and everyday essentials. Arkansaw Creek Park and a handful of local churches form the heart of the neighborhood, surrounded by the rolling farmland of Pepin County.
