About Arlington
Arlington is a town in Shelby County, northeast of Memphis. The area was originally inhabited by the Chickasaw Nation, and the town later grew around older settlements and routes in rural West Tennessee. Hughes-College Hill Park marks part of the old community landscape, while Arlington Community Schools and new neighborhoods now shape much of daily life. Arlington feels like a fast-growing Memphis-area town that still carries a small-town frame, with schools, parks, and suburban expansion doing most of the visible work.
