Ashland is a city in Boyd County, Kentucky, situated along the southern bank of the Ohio River at the borders of Ohio and West Virginia. Serving as the primary economic and medical hub of the Tri-State area, the city of approximately 21,300 features the Highlands Museum and Discovery Center on Winchester Avenue. Public education is administered by the independent Ashland School District.
