About Ashland

Ashland got its start back in 1902 as a small farming and cattle hub, even though early settlers originally hoped to name it Pearl City. As the local cotton trade faded over the twentieth century, ranching took center stage and shaped the quiet landscape you see today. Situated about 11 miles northwest of Kiowa along County Road E1550, Ashland offers a relaxed, slow-paced rural setting surrounded by open pastures, wide skies, and quiet country roads.
