About Ave Maria

Ave Maria is a planned community in Collier County, founded in 2005 by Ave Maria Development, a partnership involving Barron Collier Companies and the Ave Maria Foundation. It is built around Ave Maria University and a deliberately designed town center, giving it a very different feel from older Florida towns. The community also sits near wetlands and open land, with birds, trails, schools, shops, and newer subdivisions all part of the setting.
