About Avon

Avon is a historic village and town in Livingston County, New York, situated along the Genesee River south of Rochester. Developed following the 1788 Phelps and Gorham Purchase on ancestral Seneca lands and named after Avon, Connecticut, the residential and farming community of approximately 3,417 is served by the Avon Central School District.
