Axis, AL

Axis is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in northeastern Mobile County, Alabama. It had 561 residents at the 2020 census and is served by the Mobile County Public School System. The community sits north of the Mobile metro's denser core, in a part of the county where industry, highways, woods, and rural homes all mix. Axis is small and practical, but its location gives it access to Mobile-area jobs while keeping a more rural edge.
