Bandon is a coastal city in Coos County, Oregon, situated on the south bank of the Coquille River mouth. Named after Bandon, Ireland, by early settler George Bennett in 1873, the resort community of approximately 3,330 is famous for the Bandon Dunes Golf Course. Public education is served by the Bandon School District.
