Barlow, OR

Barlow is one of the smallest incorporated cities in Oregon, located just outside Canby in Clackamas County. Set between the Molalla and Pudding rivers, it gives residents a quiet, rural atmosphere while keeping travel simple along Highway 99E and nearby Interstate 5. It is primarily a peaceful residential pocket surrounded by farmland, making it a good fit for anyone looking for open space while staying within commuting distance of Portland and Salem.

The town carries plenty of early Oregon history, taking its name from the pioneer family who built the Barlow Road wagon route around Mount Hood. You can still see traces of that past today, including a historic 1904 drinking fountain, the old railroad stop, and the pioneer cemetery down the road. Living in Barlow means enjoying a relaxed, countryside setting where you get quiet surroundings alongside quick access to Canby's schools, grocery stores, and local parks.
