Barrett, MN

Located along the quiet shores of Barrett Lake in west-central Minnesota, Barrett is a small, welcoming town with fewer than 400 residents. The lake sits right along the edge of the community, offering scenic waterfront views and easy access to boating, kayaking, and fishing. The heart of the town is the historic Barrett Lakeside Pavilion, a 1929 landmark right on the water that regularly hosts weddings, local gatherings, and community events. Nearby, residents make good use of the sandy swimming beach, boat launches, and fishing pier. Every summer, the community comes together for the Old Settlers Reunion, celebrating with parades, ball games, dinners, and evening dances. Barrett is also home to West Central Area Secondary School, making it a natural gathering point for families and students from throughout the surrounding area.
