Bartlett, NH

Bartlett sits right in the heart of the Mount Washington Valley, stretched out along the Saco River and framed by the peaks of the White Mountain National Forest. Home to around 3,200 year-round residents, the town is spread across three distinct communities: Intervale, Glen, and Bartlett Village. Because nearly two-thirds of the town sits on protected national forest land, residential pockets are tucked along the valley floor with miles of untouched woods rising directly behind them. The area grew around farming, logging, and nineteenth-century railroading, and you can still hear the vintage Conway Scenic Railroad whistling through the valley today.
