Battlefield, MO

Battlefield is a quiet, growing suburb sitting just southwest of Springfield. Home to around 6,000 residents, it offers a laid-back small-town feel while keeping you within a quick drive of big-city jobs, dining, and healthcare. The community started out in the early 1900s as a railroad depot called Stewart, but it was soon renamed Battlefield after the major Civil War clash fought nearby at Wilson's Creek.

Today, it serves mostly as a residential retreat for commuters and families looking for quiet neighborhoods and a bit more space. Depending on your address, children attend schools in either the Springfield or Republic districts. While you will head into neighboring towns for some errands and mail services, Route FF makes getting around simple, and you are always close to local spots like Battlefield City Park and the scenic walking trails at the nearby national battlefield.
