About Beach Haven West

Beach Haven West is an unincorporated community and census-designated place within Stafford Township, New Jersey, located on the Manahawkin Bayfront. Developed starting in 1950 when the Shapiro brothers converted local salt marshes into waterfront vacation homes, the Jersey Shore community has a year-round population of approximately 5,100. Despite its name, the neighborhood lies directly north of the borough of Beach Haven, representing the mainland waterfront extension of the Long Beach Island resort region.
