Ocean Acres, NJ

Ocean Acres is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Ocean County, split between Barnegat Township and Stafford Township. It began in the early 1960s as a large planned development west of the Garden State Parkway, spreading across land between the two townships. That origin still helps describe the place: Ocean Acres is mainly a residential shore-area community, close enough to Long Beach Island and Barnegat Bay for coastal access, but set inland from the busiest beach towns.
