About Beaver Dam

Beaver Dam is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in the Mohave County portion of the Arizona Strip. Settled in 1863, the town lies along the pack horse route of the historic Old Spanish Trail and the later Mormon Road wagon route. Positioned northwest of the Grand Canyon and west of the Virgin River, it is geographically isolated from the rest of the state. Beaver Dam is one of only a few Arizona towns located along Interstate 15 and is served by the Littlefield Unified School District.
