Beavertown, PA

Beavertown is a borough in Snyder County’s Susquehanna Valley, with a history that began under the name Swifttown. John Swift settled the land after receiving a 1760 grant, Captain Frederick Evans surveyed lots in 1810, and the first post office arrived in 1830; the name changed to Beavertown after the animals found along the local waterways. The borough was established in 1914, and the 2020 census count used for this tracker is 888 residents.

Today, the borough office on West Walnut Street handles elections, taxes, permits, ordinances, and resident contacts, while the Beavertown Municipal Authority runs water and sewer service from North Kern Street.
