Belle Haven, VA (CDP)

Belle Haven is a Fairfax County community just south of Old Town Alexandria, set close to the Potomac River and the George Washington Memorial Parkway. Its name reaches back to Scottish settlement along the river in the early 1700s, but the modern place is largely residential and suburban, with easy access to Alexandria, Washington, and the waterfront parks nearby. Belle Haven Country Club is one of its best-known local landmarks, giving the area a more established, tucked-in feel than many newer suburbs.
