Bellerose, NY

Tucked right along the Queens border in Nassau County, Bellerose is a charming, compact village with just under 1,200 residents. The community traces its roots back to 1907, when developer Helen Marsh transformed acres of gladiola fields into a quiet residential enclave and secured a Long Island Rail Road stop. Today, that convenient station is still a centerpiece for locals, offering an easy commute into Manhattan while preserving the neighborhood's relaxed, suburban identity.

The village is made up of tidy, tree-lined streets and well-maintained single-family homes. Children attend schools in the Floral Park-Bellerose and Sewanhaka districts, and the village maintains its own local government, fire department, and recreation spots. It is a quiet residential pocket where neighbors know each other, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and grocery stores just a short walk or drive away in neighboring Floral Park and Queens.
