Bemiss is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in northern Lowndes County, Georgia, situated along Georgia State Route 125. Located eight miles north of the county seat of Valdosta, the residential community of approximately 9,201 is served by the Lowndes County School District. Local high school students are zoned to Lowndes High School.
