Berlin, GA

Set among the farmland of Colquitt County, Berlin is a small, quiet community just a short drive southeast of Moultrie. The town began as a bustling rail stop in the early 1900s after residents chose the name in a local contest. It quickly grew to feature neighborhood cafes, general stores, and churches. Even after the trains stopped running and anti-German sentiment during World War I prompted a temporary name change to Lens, the town held onto its roots and eventually restored its original name.
