Bessemer, MI

Set in the rolling hills of Michigan's western Upper Peninsula, Bessemer offers a quiet, relaxed setting along U.S. 2 between Ironwood and Wakefield. The town grew out of the region's 1880s iron boom, but today it serves as a peaceful home base for Gogebic County. When the snow piles up in winter, popular ski resorts and snowmobile trails are just minutes down the road. Downtown gatherings like Pumpkinfest and the annual Fourth of July celebration bring neighbors together, giving the town a warm, down-to-earth feel throughout the year.
