About Beverly Beach
Beverly Beach is a narrow Flagler County town on a barrier island, with the Atlantic to the east and Intracoastal Waterway to the west. A1A runs north-south along the ocean, and town limits stretch roughly 1.1 miles by a quarter mile. Claude Varn founded the place, which was once called Beverly Beach Shores; the town was incorporated in 1955 after Varn decided “Beverly” simply sounded pleasant. A large RV campground crosses both sides of A1A, and Flagler Beach is directly to the south while Painters Hill borders the north. Beverly Beach is a small Florida strip where the town map is basically ocean, waterway, and one long road.
