Beverly, OH

Beverly is a Washington County village on the Muskingum River. The area traces to the Ohio Company’s 1789 settlement, while the village itself dates to 1831. A post office called Beverly has operated since 1838, and State Routes 60, 83, and 339 converge here. Fort Frye School District keeps its high school, junior high, and an elementary school in the village, while the river forms Beverly’s southern edge beside Waterford and the historic lock and dam. The Beverly Branch library, Dodge Park, and old village buildings fill out the present-day map. Beverly is a river village where school, road, and Ohio Company history still sit close together.
