Black Butte Ranch, OR

Black Butte Ranch sits just northwest of Sisters in Central Oregon, right at the foot of the scenic volcanic peak that gives it its name. What started as an 1880s cattle ranch was developed in the 1970s into a private resort community surrounded by ponderosa pines and open meadows. Though many properties are seasonal vacation homes, a small group of full-time residents lives here year-round. Daily life revolves around the outdoors, with miles of paved trails, golf courses, mountain views, and the local shops of downtown Sisters only ten minutes down the road.
