About Blaine Hill
Blaine Hill is a census-designated community on the hills above the Monongahela River in Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County. Its homes rise along McKeesport Road and other sloping streets, with Pennsylvania Route 51 providing the main regional link toward Elizabeth, Clairton, and Pittsburgh. The setting is unmistakably river-valley Pittsburgh: wooded slopes, older houses on narrow grades, and long views down toward the water and the borough below.
The community was first defined as a CDP in 2023, but the neighborhood’s physical character is older, tied to Elizabeth Township’s long history along the Monongahela and Youghiogheny rivers. The Blaine Hill Volunteer Fire Company, ballfield, pavilion, and nearby Duke Park give residents familiar places to meet and gather. William Penn Elementary and the Elizabeth Forward schools serve local children. Blaine Hill is a place where the landscape does much of the talking: the hill determines the street pattern, Route 51 handles the broader trips, and the river valley stays visible between the trees and rooftops.
