Jefferson Hills is a borough in Allegheny County, south of Pittsburgh. Its municipal history reaches back to 1828, when the area was created as a township from old Mifflin Township. Today the borough is known regionally for AHN Jefferson Hospital, formerly Jefferson Regional Medical Center, and for access to trails including the Montour Trail. Jefferson Hills feels like a South Hills community with a mix of wooded residential areas, medical employment, schools, and commuting routes into Pittsburgh and the Mon Valley.
