Bloomfield, CA

Bloomfield is a residential, rural census-designated place in Sonoma County, California, located eleven miles southwest of Santa Rosa. Originally part of the historic Mexican land grant Rancho Cañada de Pogolimi, the town began in 1853 when settler William Zellhardt built the area's first home. Today, the small agricultural community is bordered by Americano Creek along its southern edge and is home to roughly three hundred residents. Local public education is provided by the Shoreline Unified School District.
