About Bloomsburg
Bloomsburg is the county seat of Columbia County, Pennsylvania, situated along the Susquehanna River and notable as the only incorporated town in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Originally settled in 1772 when James McClure built a log cabin at the site, the community of approximately 13,000 features the Bloomsburg Historic District and is home to Bloomsburg University. Public education is administered by the Bloomsburg Area School District.
