Blucksberg Mountain, SD

Blucksberg Mountain is a Meade County census-designated place along Interstate 90, southeast of Sturgis and on the western South Dakota ranch-country map. The name does most of the introducing: this is a mountain community rather than a municipal town, with scattered homes and open ground running out toward the Black Hills edge. Meade School District 46-1 serves the area. Blucksberg Mountain is South Dakota in a highway-and-hills arrangement, the kind of place you find by its exit, its ridgeline, and the name on the sign.
